On today’s top ten we bring you a number of footballers whose wages raise certain questions. The majority of them are earning far too much, but in the case the Caglar Soyuncu, not enough. Last year, the Leicester defender earned less than Wes Morgan - is that fair? Elsewhere in the Premier League, Bernard remains one of Everton’s highest paid players despite only a handful of starts last campaign, and David De Gea earns the most amongst anyone in the Premier League, but is he still a number one goalkeeper? Kepa is on triple the amount of Edouard Mendy at Chelsea and is still tied down for four more years. Miralem Pjanic’s wage is another example of poor management by Barcelona, whilst their El Clasico rivals are paying Eden Hazard €25M. It might have seemed a good idea at the time, but not anymore. Aaron Ramsey is on a fortune despite being a bit part player at Juventus, whilst Fernando Llorente earns double anyone at Udinese - so surely he’s in amongst the goals?
