There are a number of talented players who have failed to live up to the hype and currently find themselves out of the picture. In this video, we shine a light on those as we look at 10 forgotten stars who deserve another chance.
This includes Samuel Umtiti, who started just 6 games for Barcelona last season. While the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Andriy Yarmolenko are also out of favour at their current clubs and should look to depart. Other names include Divock Origi, who despite scoring in a Champions League final, can’t get near Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up at present. And he’s not the only Anfield star to make our list, as Naby Keïta is also unsettled in Merseyside. Another name familiar to Liverpool fans is striker Daniel Sturridge is currently without a club but at just 31, deserves to still play at a high level.
Real Madrid winger Isco was once considered one of the hottest prospects in world football, but now finds himself on the sidelines - a move to Arsenal could reignite his career. Meanwhile at Manchester United, Donny van de Beek had a disappointing first season in England, and will hope to get more minutes next term. And finally we shine a light on Tottenham’s Dele Alli, who has previously been linked with a move to PSG, and Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, who played just 88 minutes in the Premier League last season but impressed with Italy at the Euros.
