From the Land of Opportunity to a ghost of Raw’s past. Smackdown’s quality over the last several months seems to have fallen off a cliff. So, let’s check out 10 reasons why Smackdown has been bad.



King Corbin vs. Roman Reigns
WWE wisely decided to make sure that it cooled off on the Roman Reigns hype train when the Big Dog announced that he would be returning to in-ring action after successfully battling his leukaemia into remission. He had a low-key match with Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania and was eventually moved over the Friday Night Smackdown when the Draft took place. Reigns has spent the last several months feuding with King Corbin, in a rivalry that has simply gone on for far too long. Their issues first cropped up in November last year, and despite beating him clean at the Royal Rumble, fans were treated to a ‘loser eats dog food’ match on Smackdown. Corbin is a talented heel, but he has been far too overexposed over the last few months, and even throwing in the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, The Usos and briefly The Revival, hasn’t really done much to muster up excitement for the feud. While it is understandable that WWE wants to cool Reigns off before setting him up for another marquee match at ‘Mania, there was absolutely no reason to saddle him with a feud that veered into juvenile territory way too often. Now that Reigns and The Usos have successfully smothered King Corbin with dog food, the Big Dog will hopefully be able to move on from this feud. He won’t be the only one glad to see the back of King Corbin, fans have had more than enough too.
