2016 MWC: Team USA Shuts Out France 4-0

After two days off, Team USA resumed preliminary round play at the 2016 Men's World Championship with a 4-0 shutout victory over France. Mike Condon backstopped his first career shutout with the United States in the win. The Americans were unable to get on the board in the first period but saw three goals in the second half of the second period. Chris Wideman opened the scoring for the United States with six minutes left in the game. Three minutes later, Connor Murphy scored his second of the tournament. Just before buzzer for the end of the period J.T. Compher scored his first goal of the tournament. Brady Skjei also scored his first goal of the tournament two minutes into the third period.
