This year's National Junior Evaluation Camp kicked off Friday as the team arrived and met heading into their first full day of camp on Saturday. The camp, held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth Michigan, brings together the top Under-20 players for eight days of practices and games. This is the first step of the selection process for the 2017 U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the 2017 World Junior Championship.

The 42 players will be split up between two teams to start -- USA White and USA Blue. They will compete against each other in a scrimmage Saturday night. Then each team will play Finland and Sweden before the roster is trimmed. Once the roster is trimmed, the team will form one team and compete against Sweden, Finland and Canada to end the camp.
