2022 World Champion Max Verstappen + David Coulthard at Imola Circuit with Red Bull RB9 F1, V8 Sound

The new 2022 F1 world champion Max Verstappen and the famous Scottish driver David Coulthard, Formula 1 vice-champion in 2001, put on a show on Wednesday, 12 October, at the Imola circuit. If a good day starts in the morning, the one given to the inhabitants of the town on the banks of the Santerno was fantastic. Red Bull booked the track exclusively to run a day of promotional/commercial videos. Among the cars present, the sound of the naturally aspirated engine coming from the RB9 F1 was a real oxygen for motorsport enthusiasts. At the beginning of the morning, Coulthard did a few laps on the single-seater, also shooting video. A little later, Max Verstappen arrived on the circuit by helicopter, and I was lucky enough to see him before he arrived in the pits. Once he put on his suit, helmet and gloves, he delighted the enthusiasts who, in the meantime, had gathered around the track with some laps, again for commercial reasons. Recall that the RB9 car was the reference car in 2013, winning the drivers 'championship with Sebastian Vettel and the constructors' championship with his teammate Mark Webber. The power unit is Renault RS-RS27-2013, a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 powered by a 7-speed sequential gearbox + reverse. The car's total weight is around 650 kg with a monocoque in honeycomb carbon fibre. Enjoy! ????

Il fresco campione del mondo 2022 di F1 Max Verstappen ed il famoso pilota scozzese David Coulthard, vicecampione di Formula 1 nel 2001 hanno dato spettacolo Mercoledì 12 Ottobre sul circuito di Imola. Se il buon giorno di vede dal mattino, quello regalato agli abitanti della cittadina sulle rive del Santerno è stato fantastico. La Red Bull ha prenotato la pista in esclusiva per eseguire una giornata di video promozionali/commerciali. Fra le vetture presenti il suono del motore aspirato proveniente dalla RB9 F1 è stato vero ossigino per gli appassionati di motorsport. All'inizio della mattinata Coulthard ha compiuto alcuni giri sulla monoposto effettuando anche riprese video. Poco più tardi Max Verstappen è arrivato in circuito con l'elicottero ed ho avuto la fortuna di vederlo prima del suo arrivo nei box. Una volta messa tuta, casco e guanti ha deliziato gli appassionati che nel frattempo si erano radunati attorno alla pista con alcuni giri di pista, sempre per esigenze commerciali. Ricordiamo che la vettura RB9 è stata l'auto di riferimento nel 2013 vincendo il campionato piloti con Sebastian Vettel ed anche quello costruttori assieme al compagno Mark Webber. Il propulsore è Renault RS-RS27-2013, un V8 aspirato da 2.4-Litri mosso da un cambio sequenziale a 7 rapporti + retromarcia. Con una monoscocca in fibra di carbonio a nido d'ape il peso complessivo dell'auto si aggira sui 650 Kg.
