During the first day of the 2017 Drift Matsuri organized by Federico Sceriffo at the Autodromo di Varano (Pr) I had the pleasure of filming this incredible BMW e30 Touring powered by the 300 HP BMW M60b40 V8 engine. Thanks to the owner Dean Ford that allowed me to put my action-caminside the car, especially in the tailgate. Unusual position but really fun to see! The car was amazingly assembled in the his home backyard, a long work of sacrifice but absolutely remarkable, really impressive! Specifically, mechanics and electronics come from a BMW 740 e38 with its manual 6-speed gearbox. BMW e30 welded differential, drive shaft, supports and various reinforcements by Garagistic. The full homemade exhaust is crafted in stainless steel with two silencers, suspensions come from BC Racing for e36 compact model. The specs continue with hydraulic hand-brake and dedicated pliers, strongflex bushings, BMW Z3 steering wheels box, modified ​​linkage and hubs from e36 and e92, brakes are those of the 328 e36. The interior has been completely emptied, now we find 2x OMP fixed seats with 4-point seat belts and Sparco steering wheel. Outside, the body includes widened rear fenders and at the front BMW e30 M3 fiberglass replica. To be Dean first track releases seems like a high quality product, congrats! Durante la prima giornata 2017 del Matsuri Drift organizzata da Federico Sceriffo all'Autodromo di Varano (Pr) ho avuto il piacere di filmare questa incredibile BMW e30 Touring motorizzata con il V8 BMW M60b40 ed accreditata di circa 300 cv! Ringrazio il gentilissimo proprietario Dean Ford che mi ha permesso di installare l'action cam all'interno della vettura, specialmente nel portellone posteriore. Posizione insolita ma davvero divertente da vedere! La vettura è stata assemblata incredibilmente nel cortile di casa, un lungo lavoro fatto di sacrifici ma assolutamente rimarchevole, davvero ben riuscito. Nello specifico, meccanica ed elettronica provengono da una BMW 740 e38 con il cambio manuale a 6 marce. Differenziale della e30 saldato, albero di trasmissione, supporti e rinforzi vari della Garagistic. Lo scarico completo è artigianale in acciaio inox con due silenziatori, l'assetto è della BC Racing per il modello BMW e36 compact. Si continua con il freno a mano idraulico e pinze dedicate, boccole strongflex, scatola sterzo della BMW Z3, tiranteria e mozzi provenienti da e36 ed e92 modificati ed i freni sono quelli della 328 e36 baffati. Gli interni sono stati completamente svuotati, sedili OMP fissi con cinture a 4 punti, il volante è sparco. La carrozzeria prevede parafanghi posteriori allargati e anteriori in vetroresina, replica di quelli M3 e30. Per essere una delle primissime uscite in pista mi sembra un prodotto di alta qualità, complimenti Dean! Per tutti voi, buona visione ;-)
