3x Ferrari 12-Cylinder Engine Start-Up & Sound : 512 BB LM, F333 SP & 410 Superamerica

In this short video, I propose some extraordinary Ferrari 12-cylinder start-up engines that I had the pleasure of seeing recently in Italy. The cars were present at a couple of Concours d'elegance, and I deliberately obscured people to ensure their privacy. These are great cars. The 512 BB LM was the class winner at the 24h of Le Mans in 1981 with the pilots Andruet, Ballot & Lena. The 180º V12 5-Litre N/A engine, type F102, can develop 464 hp (346 kW). The F333 SP, chassis 06, is one of the 40 units built by Ferrari-Michelotto to return to compete in the IMSA prototype sports championship. The 4-litre V12 engine with an angle between the banks of 65° and 5 valves per cylinder develops 650 HP. It derives directly from the one that fitted the Ferrari F92 A, which participated in the 1992 F1 championship. For almost a decade, the incredible "Barchettas" achieved success in the most important endurance competitions, including the 24 Hours of Daytona (1998) and 69 pole positions and 56 overall victories! The last car is the superb 410 Superamerica third series with its huge 5-litre engine, two spark plugs per cylinder and billet connecting rods, capable of developing 340 hp at 6000 pm. This engine allowed the car to reach a top speed of 262 km/h. Enjoy! ????

In questo breve video vi propongo l'accensione di tre straordinarie Ferrari a 12 cilindri che ho avuto il piacere di vedere ultimamente in Italia. Le vetture erano presenti ad un paio di concorsi d'eleganza ed ho volutamente oscurato le persone per garantirne la privacy. Sono automobili fantastiche. La 512 BBLM telaio numero 31589 è stata la vincitrice di classe alla 24h di Le Mans nel 1981 con i piloti Andruet/Ballot/Lena. Il motore è del tipo F102 BB LM 180º V12 montato in posizione centrale longitudinalmente con una cilindrata di 4.942 cc (301,6 cu in), aspirato, capace di sviluppare 464 CV (346 kW). La F333 SP, telaio 06 è una delle 40 barchette costruite da Ferrari-Michelotto per tornare a competere nel campionato sport prototipi IMSA. Il propulsore V12 da 4-Litri con angolo fra le bancate di 65° e 5 valvole per cilindro sviluppa 650 CV e deriva direttamente da quello che equipaggiava la Ferrari F92 A che partecipò al campionato di F1 1992. Per quasi un decennio le incredibili "Barchetta" ottennero successi nelle più importanti competizioni di durata fra cui la 24 ore di Daytona (1998). Il loro palmares parla da solo, con 69 pole positions e 56 vittorie assolute! Infine troviamo la splendida 410 Superamerica terza serie con il suo enorme propulsore da 5-litri, due candele per cilindro e bielle ottenute dal pieno, capace di sviluppare 340 CV a 6000 giri/minuto. Questo motore permetteva all'auto di raggiungeva una velocità massima di 262 km/h. Buona visione! ????
