This past week on RAW, Vince McMahon announced that the women will get their own tag team titles in 2019, a decision that has since been hailed as a ‘game-changing move’ by the media. 2018 has been a monumental year for the female talent in WWE, and with the announcement, we can expect an even bigger year for the female Superstars heading into the new year. While the specifics weren’t revealed, the women’s tag team titles will likely be introduced at the Royal Rumble. With women now having their own Royal Rumble match, the introduction of tag team titles will enable the female Superstars to compete for more championships, while giving them more air time on WWE programming.
