850Hp Pikes Peak Hillclimb Monster! Ford Focus powered by Nissan GT-R R35 Turbo Engine, Goodwood FOS

What you see is the monstrous Ford Focus built for the Hillclimb race like the "Race to the Sky Hillclimb" in New Zealand and the world-famous Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. Strongly desired by the pilot Tony Quinn, owner of the Hampton Downs and Highland Park circuits in New Zealand, it was created by the technological company PACE Innovations. Apart from the windshield and the A-pillar, there is nothing of Ford provenance other than the appeal of aesthetics. It's a purpose-built prototype to compete against the strongest competitors in the world in this motorsport category. It's equipped with a fully customized aerodynamic package. The car is equipped with a Nissan V6 VR38DETT Twin-Turbo engine from the GT-R R35 model and can develop 850hp. Thanks to the carbon fibre bodywork with massive aerodynamic wings and diffusers, the car produces around 1190 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, a load roughly equivalent to the weight of the vehicle itself! In 2019 Tony Quinn set the ninth overall time at Goodwood FOS, taking about 53 seconds. Quella che vedete è la mostruosa Ford Focus costruita per le gare in salita come la "Race to the Sky Hillclimb" in Nuova Zelanda e la famosissima Pikes Peak in Colarado, USA. Fortemente voluta dal pilota Tony Quinn, proprietario dei circuiti Hampton Downs e Highland Park in Nuova Zelanda è stata realizzata dall'azienda specializzata PACE Innovations. A parte il parabrezza ed il montante anteriore, non c'è niente di provenienza Ford se non il richiamo all'estetica. Si tratta di un prototipo appositamente costruito per gareggiare con i più forti concorrenti al mondo in questa categoria di motorsport. Dotato di un pacchetto aerodinamico completamente personalizzato l'auto monta un motore Nissan V6 VR38DETT Twin-Turbo proveniente dal modello GT-R R35 ed è capace di sviluppare da 850hp. Grazie alla carrozzeria in fibra di carbonio con enormi appendici aerodinamiche e diffusori l'auto produce circa 1190 kg di deportanza a 200 km/h, un carico circa equivalente al peso dell'auto stessa! Nel 2019 ha fatto segnare il nono tempo assoluto alla salita del Goodwood FOS impiegando circa 53 secondi.
