Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 - EPIC V12 N/A Engine Sound ???? - Actions & FlatOut at Imola & Monza Circuit

I consider the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 a superb racing car with a spectacular, naturally aspirated V12 engine. In this video, I have collected clips of three different units filmed in action at Imola and Monza's circuits in Italy. This model's design saw the light in 2005 thanks to Aston Martin Racing & Prodrive based on the DB9 road car, of which it retains the chassis, engine block, and cylinder heads. Everything else has been modified; the body panels are made of carbon fibre except for the roof. The bottom is completely flat, we find an excellent development of aerodynamics, and at the rear, the large carbon wing dominates. Made to compete in endurance races, it adopts a 6.0-litre V12 engine capable of developing 635hp and 740 Nm of torque combined with a sequential 6-speed Xtrac gearbox; the weight of the car about 1,170Kg. The final project was highly competitive, and we can remember the GT1 class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2007 and 2008 with David Richards' Prodrive team. DBR9 models have also competed in several championships, including American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championship, FFSA GT Championship and Super GT. Currently, some models take part in the European Endurance Racing Legends championship.

Ritengo l'Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 una vettura splendida, con un motore V12 aspirato dal suono spettacolare. In questo video ho raccolto le clip di tre differenti esemplari filmati in azione sui circuiti di Imola e Monza, in Italia. Il progetto di questo modello vede la luce nel 2005 grazie ad Aston Martin Racing & Prodrive basandosi sulla vettura stradale DB9 della quale mantiene il telaio, il blocco motore e le teste cilindri. Tutto il resto è stato modificato, i pannelli della carrozzeria sono in fibra di carbonio ad esclusione del tetto. Il fondo è completamente piatto, troviamo un'ottimo sviluppo dell'aerodinamica ed al posteriore troneggia la grande ala in carbonio. Realizzata per competere nelle gare endurance adotta un motore V12 da 6.0-Litri capace di sviluppare 635cv e 740 Nm di coppia abbinato ad un cambio Xtrac sequenziale a 6 rapporti, peso complessivo dell'auto circa 1.170Kg. Il progetto finale è risultato altamente competitivo e possiamo ricordare le vittorie di classe GT1 alla 24 Ore di Le Mans nel 2007 e 2008 con il team Prodrive di David Richards. I modelli DBR9 hanno inoltre gareggiato in differenti campionati fra cui American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championship, FFSA GT Championship e Super GT. Attualmente alcuni esemplari prendono parte al campionato Europeo Endurance Racing Legends.
