During the 2016 Peroni Race weekend at he Imola circuit some F1 cars took the track along the Boss GP formula cars. There were a couple of Benetton F1 B197 piloted by Tarso Marques and Wolfgang Jordan. The car goes back to 1997, the last project in Benetton for Nick Wirth and Rory Byrne. Equipped with a carbon fiber monocoque and weighing about 600 kg mounts the Renault F1 RS9 3.0 V10 engine controlled by a semi-automatic 6 speed gearbox plus reverse. Personally was a real pleasure to see in action this glorious F1 car at the Imola Circuit. In those years the B197 model was piloted by Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger and Alexander Wurz and in 1997 the Benetton won the F1 third place builders. Enjoy the sound!

Durante il Peroni Race weekend 2016 all'autodromo di Imola sono scese in pista assieme alle Boss GP, alcune Formula 1. Tra queste un paio di Benetton F1 B197 pilotate da Tarso Marques e Wolfgang Jordan. La vettura risale al 1997, ultimo progetto in Benetton per Nick Wirth e Rory Byrne. Dotata di monoscocca in fibra di carbonio e dal peso di circa 600 Kg monta il motore Renault F1 RS9 3.0 V10 comandato da un cambio semi-automatico a 6 rapporti più retromarcia. Per quel che mi riguarda è stato un vero piacere vedere in azione questa gloriosa monoposto ad Imola. All'epoca il modello B197 fu pilotato da Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger ed Alexander Wurz. In quell'anno la Benetton ottenne il terzo posto costruttori. Godetevi il sound!
