Bentley Continental GT3 - 550Hp V8 Twin-Turbo Engine - Kateyama Test Days at Misano & Monza Circuits

I recently enjoyed filming a pair of Team CMR Bentley Continental GT3s, cars that usually compete in the GT World Challenge Europe Championship. In preparation for the races, the teams often take part in the midweek test days organized by Kateyama; specifically, I took this footage in March 2021 at Misano and Monza circuits. The Bentley is currently the biggest of the GT3 cars used in racing; it's powered by a 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine that develops 550 HP (410 kW) and moved by a Ricardo 6-speed sequential gearbox. We find huge Alcon self-ventilated brake discs to stop the total weight of 1,300 kg. As we said, despite its grandeur, the car is high-speed and competitive, especially on the Monza straights.

Recentemente ho avuto il piacere di filmare un paio di Bentley Continental GT3 del Team CMR , vetture che solitamente partecipano al GT World Challenge Europe Championship. In preparazione delle gare i team spesso prendono parte a delle giornate di test infrasettimanali organizzate da Kateyama; nello specifico queste riprese sono state effettuate mese di Marzo 2021 sui circuiti di Misano e Monza. La Bentley è attualmente la più grande delle vetture GT3 utilizzate in gara; viene mossa dal potente motore V8 Twin Turbo da 4,0 litri che sviluppa 550 CV (410 KW) accoppiato ad un cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti prodotto da Ricardo. Troviamo enormi dischi freno autoventilati Alcon per fermare il peso totale di 1.300 kg. Come dicevamo, nonostante la sua imponenza, la vettura è molto veloce e competitiva specialmente sui rettilinei di Monza.
