BMW 2002 Tii M12 Hillclimb Monster driven by Salvatore Asta - Bologna-Raticosa & Bologna-San Luca

This is Salvatore Asta's BMW 2002 Tii m12 that I've had the pleasure of seeing in action several times. The videos refer to the Bologna-San Luca & Bologna-Raticosa Hillclimb races. The car is the 2-series model, a high-end Berlinetta built by BMW in the mid-1970s. However, the starting point is not the 2.0-litre, in-line 4-cylinder M10 engine that originally developed 130hp at 5,800 rpm. An M12 engine was installed here, 2-0-Liters and a car prepared for Hillclimbs, lightened by everything and upgraded; I suspect that under the bonnet there are easily 100hp more, judging by how fast it is! Obviously, many congratulations to the driver Salvatore Asta who has been driving it magnificently for several years, always reaching podium positions and victories in the TC 2000 class.

Questa è la BMW 2002 Tii m12 del pilota Salvatore Asta che ho avuto il piacere di vedere in azione più volte. I filmati si riferiscono alle gare di cronoscalata Bologna-San Luca & Bologna-Raticosa. La vettura è il modello serie 2, berlinetta di facia alta costruita da BMW a metà anni 70. La base di partenza però non è il motore m10 da 2.0-litri, 4 cilindri in linea che originariamente sviluppava 130cv a 5.800 giri/min. Qui è stato installato un propulsore m12, sempre da 2-0-Litri ed essendo una vettura preparata per le cronoscalate, alleggerita di tutto e potenziata ho il sospetto che sotto il cofano ci siano tranquillamente 100cv in più a giudicare da quanto è veloce in gara. Ovviamente tanti complimenti al pilota Salvatore Asta che da diversi anni la guida in modo magnifico raggiungendo sempre posizioni di podio e vittorie nella classe TC 2000.
