"Toro Rosso’s team principal Franz Tost may be keen to again run Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat in 2018 - with Red Bull Racing’s Christian Horner recently saying there’s no reason to change.

But the Russian’s results in the last four events could change everything - when it comes time to extend his contract. In Azerbaijan, Kvyat went off at Turn 1 after just missing Williams’ Felipe Massa, forcing Sainz wide when he returned.

In Austria, he caused a three-car crash - repeating the feat at the British Grand Prix; while in Hungary, he impeded Williams’ Lance Stroll in qualifying - earning a 3-place grid penalty and point on his license.
