At the post-fight press conference following the Gennady Golovkin vs David Lemieux Middleweight fight at Madison Square Garden this past Saturday, Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya spoke in glowing terms about the prospects of Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz. Ortiz holds the WBA interim world title after he won on the undercard of HBO's Saturday PPV against outclassed Argentine Matias Ariel Vidondo as he earned a third round stoppage. Ortiz, 36, is now (23-0) and he boasts a resume that includes hundreds of amateur fights in his native country. Check out what De La Hoya had to say, here at The Boxing Channel.
