Dynamo Moscow defeated Shahter Soligorsk in the match of the second round of the Russian Volleyball Championship among men's teams — Pari Super League.
The meeting was held in Moscow and ended with a score 3-0 (25:22, 26:24, 25:21).
The first home meeting of Dynamo in the new season of the Pari Super League gathered a very impressive audience. Before the game, all fans had the opportunity to take pictures with the Centenary Cup won by the blue and white, and immediately before the match, the senior coach of the Muscovites, Yevgeny Petropavlov, made a solemn victory lap with the trophy on the playground.
Already in the first set, it became clear that Shahter did not intend to shy away from the favorite, and Dynamo, in turn, entered the court with excellent concentration.
In the middle of the starting game, Konstantin Bryansky's team made a reserve of several break points. The binder Pavel Pankov often played a combination of "pipe" with the players Anton Semyshev and Denis Bogdan, and also gave the opportunity to prove himself to the Bulgarian diagonal Tsvetan Sokolov, for whom this was the first match of the season.
On the first setball, Pankov himself finished the game with a spectacular discount – 25:22.
At the beginning of the second set, Shahter already has several break points, but Dynamo players win back this gap on the serves of the same Pankov. At the end of the game, the central blocking of Dynamo Ilya Vlasov clearly manifests himself. The block, the attack "from under the arches of the arena" and ace allow the blue and white to create a reserve in the score. With their mistakes, Muscovites allow the opponent to return to the game (24:24). However, on a short balance, David Fiel, the central blocker of Shahter, first enters the net, and then Maxim Bogatko, the finishing player, hits out.
In the middle of the third set, Dynamo makes a very serious start in the score thanks to Bogdan's ace and Semyshev's attack (14:10). Shahter does not give up, but in the end Dynamo players work out every draw to the maximum and bring the match to victory.
