Having proved himself at domestic level time and time again, he finally got the call up to join the Castle Lager Proteas for the fourth Sunfoil Test Match against England. And did he make an impact! Cook became the 100th Test player to score a hundred on debut, and it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving servant of the game.
