Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta by Touring (1950) - 2-litre V12 Engine Lovely Sound at Goodwood FOS 2019

This is the lovely 1950 Ferrari 166 MM Berlinetta by Touring, chassis number 0040M belonging to Mr & Mrs Mason-Styrron. You can see it in action during the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car, one of the 25 total built, took part in the 34th Targa Florio with the crew Luigi Villoresi/Pasquale Cassani, race number 438 and the Mille Miglia, also in 1950, with the team Aldo Berardi/Aldo Bassi which unfortunately had an accident. The engine is the refined V12, 2-litre, naturally aspirated, with 3 Weber carburettors that develops 140hp at 6,600 rpm. Aluminium body and steel frame, fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive. The weight is very low, only 650 Kg. Enjoy the car and its beautiful sound!

Questa è la splendida Ferrari 166 MM Berlinetta Touring del 1950, numero di telaio 0040M appartenente ai signori Mason-Styrron che qui vedete in azione durante le edizioni 2018 e 2019 del Goodwood Festival of Speed. La vettura, una delle 25 totali costruite, prese parte alla 34th Targa Florio con l'equipaggio Luigi Villoresi/Pasquale Cassani, numero di gara 438 ed alla alla Mille Miglia, sempre nel 1950, con l'equipaggio Aldo Berardi/Aldo Bassi che purtroppo ebbero un'incidente. Il motore è il raffinato V12, 2 litri di cilindrata, aspirato, con 3 carburatori Weber che sviluppa 140cv a 6.600 giri/min. Carrozzeria in alluminio e telaio in acciaio, monta un cambio manuale a 5 marce, trazione posteriore. Il peso è molto contenuto, solo 650 Kg. Godetevi l'auto ed il suo splendido suono, buona visione!
