James Harden finished with a career-high 61 points (17-38 FG) and 15 rebounds as the Rockets defeated the Knicks 114-110 tonight at Madison Square Garden. Harden tied Kobe Bryant (61 points on 2/2/2009) for the 2nd-highest scoring total at the current iteration of MSG and the 5th-highest point total by an opposing player at any iteration of MSG. Harden’s 61 points are also the highest point total by any player this season (Kemba Walker’s 60 points on 11/17/2018) and a Rockets’ franchise-record for points in a game. Allonzo Trier recorded a career-high 31 points (12-18 FG) and 10 rebounds for the Knicks in the losing effort. With the win, the Rockets improve to 27-20, while the Knicks fall to 10-36 on the season.
