Honda NSX GT3 EVO by JAS Motorsport, 3.5-Litre V6 TwinTurbo Engine, 2020 Test Days at Monza Circuit

For the first time, I was able to see and film the Honda NSX GT3 EVO in action, a car developed by Honda R&D in partnership with J.A.S. Motorsport and Honda Performance Development. We are at Monza circuit during a couple of days of testing for racing cars. Two EVO models took to the track distinguishable from the previous version for a new front splitter and a different bumper and rear extractor profile that improves cooling and aerodynamics. In the GT3 version, there is no hybrid system mounted on the road car. Under the rear hood, in a central position, we find the 3.5-Liter V6 Twin-Turbo engine that develops over 500hp coupled to a sequential 6-speed XTRAC gearbox with steering wheel controls. There's a mechanical self-locking differential on the rear axle. The suspensions are double-wishbone at the front and multilink at the rear while the brake discs are respectively 390x34mm with 6-piston calipers and 355x32mm with 4-piston calipers front/rear. Bosch components manage all electronics and control units, and the overall weight of the car is 1,280Kg.

Per la prima volta ho potuto vedere e filmare in azione la Honda NSX GT3 EVO, vettura sviluppata da Honda R&D in partnership con J.A.S. Motorsport e Honda Performance Development. Ci troviamo sul circuito di Monza durante un paio di giornate di test per vetture da competizione. Due modelli EVO sono scesi in pista distinguibili dalla precedente versione per un nuovo splitter frontale ed un differente paraurti e profilo estrattore posteriore che migliorano raffreddamento ed aerodinamica. Nella versione GT3 non c'è presenza del sistema ibrido montato sulla vettura stradale. Sotto il cofano posteriore, in posizione centrale, troviamo il motore da 3.5-Litri V6 Twin-Turbo che sviluppa oltre 500cv accoppiato ad un cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti XTRAC con comandi al volante. E' presente un differenziale autobloccante meccanico sull'asse posteriore. Le sospensioni sono a doppi bracci all'anteriore e multilink al retrotreno mentre i dischi freni sono rispettivamente di 390x34mm con pinze a 6 pistoncini e 355x32mm al con pinze a 4 pistoncini fronte/retro. Tutta l'elettronica e le centraline sono gestite da componentistica Bosch ed il peso complessivo dell'auto è di 1.280Kg.
