And since its reintroduction in 2017, effectively rebranding what was GP2, six drivers have graduated to F1 - including two of its champions Charles Leclerc, and George Russell. 2020’s field has proved competitive, with seven different winners from the eight races held, four of them series rookies, including Robert Shwartzman.
