Lola T142/20 Formula 5000 (1968) 5.0-Litre Chevy Engine Warm-Up & Sound - Vernasca Silver Flag 2021

I had the pleasure of filming this fantastic Lola T142/20 Formula 5000 at the last two editions of the Vernasca Silver Flag in 2019 and 2021. So I decided to group the clips in my possession and create this small video. The car was delivered to Sid Taylor at the end of 1968 and taken to the race by drivers Tony Lanfranchi, Robin Widdows, Frank Gardner and Alan Rollinson until the end of 1970 where T142/20 suffered an accident. It was then rebuilt using original components such as chassis, suspension and wheels. In addition, missing or damaged pieces such as the bodywork have been replaced with original parts or rebuilt respecting the original technical characteristics. The car is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine produced by Chevy and developed by the American Hekimian Racing Engines. Here we see the F5000 in action driven by Ehrbar Roger.

Ho avuto il piacere di filmare questa fantastica Lola T142/20 Formula 5000 alle ultime due edizione della Vernasca Silver Flag, nel 2019 e nel 2021. Ho deciso di raggruppare le clip in mio possesso e ralizzare questo piccolo video. La monoposto fu consegnata a Sid Taylor alla fine del 1968 e portata in gara dai piloti Tony Lanfranchi, Robin Widdows, Frank Gardner e Alan Rollinson fino alla fine del 1970 dove subì un'incidente. E' stata quindi ricostruita utilizzando componenti originali quali telaio, sospensioni e ruote. I pezzi mancanti o rovinati come la carrozzeria sono state sostititui con pezzi originali o ricostruiti rispettando le caratteristiche tecniche di origine. L'auto è mossa da un motore 5-0-Litri V8 prodotto dalla Chevy ed eleborato dall'americana Hekimian Racing Engines. Qui la vediamo in azione guidata da Ehrbar Roger.
