Finally here in action the car to beat in the 2018 Formula 1 season, we are talking about Mercedes W09, filmed during the pre-season tests at the Montmelo racetrack, Barcelona. The new car was born in the sign of continuity, no massive changes but refinements of an already winning car, in every aspect cared by the technical management of James Allison and Aldo Costa. The wheelbase was slightly shortened and the suspension attachments were also moved upwards. The power unit remains the most powerful of the Circus and must absolutely be reliable given the only 3 engines available for the entire season to avoid penalties during the championship. What is new to the eye is definitely the Halo drivers safety system, weighing 7kg. During the tests, the new w09 showed immediately fast scoring and the best time lap during the first day, ahead of RedBull and Ferrari.

Ecco finalmente in azione la monoposto da battere nella stagione 2018 di Formula 1, stiamo parlando della Mercedes W09 qui filmata in occasione dei test di pre-campionato presso la pista di Montmelò, Barcellona. La nuova monoposto è nata nel segno della continuità, niente stavolgimenti ma affinamenti di un'auto già vincente, curata sotto ogni aspetto dalla direzione tecnica di James Allison ed Aldo Costa. Il passo è stato leggermente accorciato ed anche gli attacchi delle sospensioni sono stati spostati in alto. La power unit resta la più potente del Circus e deve assolutamente essere affidabile visti i soli 3 motori diponibili per l'intera stagione onde evitare penalità in campionato. Novità che balza all'occhio è sicuramente il sistema di sicurezza Halo dal peso di 7kg e posizianto a protezione dei piloti. I piloti al volante della W09 saranno il campione in carica Lewis Hamilton ed il forte finlandese Valtteri Bottas, Durante i test la monoposto Mercedes si è dimostrata subito la più veloce segnando il miglior tempo nella prima giornata, precedendo Redbull e Ferrari.
