The last round of the 2016 French championship Superturisme & Mitjet 2L organized by GT Tour took place at the Autodromo di Imola. The peculiarity of these small cars is the fact that are standard products, mechanical specs are the same for everyone. Simplicity of realization, reinforced roll cage, fiberglass bodywork and no electronic driving aid. This allows for the teams to control costs and offer to the public spectacular races.Thera are two types of cars. The Superturisme with a 330 hp 6-cylinder 3.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, 6-speed sequential gearbox by SADEV of a total weight of about 850kg. And the Mitjet 230 hp 2 liters engine, the same 6-speed sequential gearbox by Sadev but the weight is only 750 Kg. The fiber bodywork aesthetics recall some models of German production. That's a simple formula where the drivers can make the difference. In the video you can see some race highlights, enjoy! ;-)

L'ultimo round 2016 del campionato francese Superturisme & Mitjet 2L si è svolto all'autodromo di Imola nel weekend di gare organizzato da GT Tour. La particolarità di queste piccole vetture è il fatto di essere prodotti standard, stessa meccanica per tutti, semplicità di realizzazione, gabbia rinforzata, carrozzeria in fibra di vetro e nessun aiuto elettronico alla guida. Questo permette di contenere i costi e di proporre al pubblico gare molto spettacolari e combattute . Vi prendono parte due tipologie di vetture. Le Superturisme che montano un 6 cilindri da 3.5 litri aspirato e 330 cv, cambio sequenziale a 6 marce della SADEV per un peso totale di 850kg e le Mitjet 2 litri, con potenza di 230 cv, stesso cambio sequenziale Sadev a 6 marce ma peso che si ferma a 750 Kg. Le carrozzerie in fibra richiamano dell'estetica alcuni modelli della produzione tedesca. Tutto qui, formula semplice ma agguerrita dove il pilota a parità di mezzo meccanico può fare la differenza.
