NEW 2023 Dallara EXP IR8 Tribute - Eddie Cheever's Hommage - Walkaround at Modena Motor Valley Fest

Dallara brought the lovely EXP IR8 Tribute to the 2023 edition of the Modena Motor Valley Fest. We are inside the courtyard of the Palazzo Ducale, the seat of the Military Academy in the context of the event in the Emilian city from 11 to 14 May. The Parma-based manufacturer wanted to pay homage to the driver Eddie Cheever with this particular edition car, remembering the driver who won the Indianapolis 500 25 years ago. This coincides with Dallara's first victory, as a manufacturer, on the oval at the Motor Speedway, and the livery recalls the colours of the winning 1998 IR8 single-seater. The car you see, made for track use only, adopts the 2.3-Litre 4-cylinder Turbo Ford engine capable of delivering 500 Hp and 720 Nm of torque. We are talking about 100 hp more than the normal Stradale, all to move only 890 kg! The construction of the spectacular carbon tank/frame on which the car is assembled gives such a lightweight. The performance is that of a super sports car with a top speed close to 300 km/h. As per Dallara tradition, the aerodynamics are very accurate. Thanks also to the enormous rear wing, the EXP allows you to generate 1,270 kg of downforce at 260 km/h, a suitable 450 kilograms more than the Stradale. The maximum lateral acceleration figure is an impressive 2.7g.

Dallara ha portato la splendida EXP IR8 Tribute all'edizione 2023 del Modena Motor Valley Fest. Ci troviamo all'interno del cortile del Palazzo Ducale, sede dell'Accademia Militare nel contesto della manifestazione che si svolge nella città emiliana dall'11 al 14 Maggio. Il costruttore parmense ha voluto omaggiare il pilota Eddie Cheever con questa vettura in edizione speciale ricordando, 25 anni addietro, il pilota che vinse la 500 Miglia di Indianapolis. Questo coincise con la prima vittoria di Dallara, come costruttore, sull’ovale del Motor Speedway e la livrea richiama i colori della vincente monoposto IR8 del 1998. La vettura che vedete, realizzata per il solo uso in pista, adotta il motore Ford da 2.3-Litri 4 cilindri Turbo capace di erogare 500 Hp e ben 720 Nm di coppia. Stiamo parlando di ben 100 hp in più rispetto alla Stradale normale, il tutto per muovere solamente 890 Kg! Un peso così leggero è dato dalla costruzione della spettacolare vasca/telaio in carbonio su cui è assemblata l'auto. Le prestazioni sono da vera supersportiva con una velocità massima prossima ai 300 Km/h. Come da tradizione Dallara l'aerodinamica è curatissima e grazie anche all'enorme ala posteriore la EXP permette di generare 1.270 Kg di deportanza a 260 km/h, ben 450 kg in più rispetto alla Stradale. Il dato dell'accelerazione laterale massima è di ben 2.7g, un valore impressionante. Buona visione! ????
