NEW 2023 Ferrari KC23 one-off Track-Only Race Car - World Debut/Action at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The big surprise at the 2023 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS) with the world debut of the new Ferrari KC23, a one-off car made only for the track and based on the mechanics of the 2020 488 GT3 EVO. It took three years to develop this track car commissioned by a wealthy customer and created by the "Special Projects" department and the stylistic direction of Flavio Manzoni. The completely new bodywork, made of carbon fibre, adopts a special 4-layer paint called Gold Mercury. There are adaptive air intakes on the rear sides and doors, which open according to the car's speed to better cool the engine. Some interesting stylistic references include the front lights that recall the 499P and the rear "blade" inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo concept. As we have said, mechanically, it adopts the 3.9-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine of the racing car capable of developing 600Hp and 700Nm of maximum torque.

Grande sorpresa all'edizione 2023 del Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS) con il debutto mondiale della nuova Ferrari KC23, una vettura one-off, realizzata solo per la pista e basata sulla meccanica della 488 GT3 EVO del 2020. Ci sono voluti tre anni per sviluppare questa auto da pista commissionata da un facoltoso cliente e realizzata dal reparto "Progetti Speciali" e la direzione stilistica di Flavio Manzoni. La carrozzeria completamente nuova, realizzata in fibra di carbonio, adotta una vernice speciale a 4 strati denominata Gold Mercury. Sono presenti nelle fiancate posteriore e negli sportelli delle prese d'aria adattive che si aprono a seconda della velocità della vettura per meglio raffreddare il propulsore. Interessanti alcuni richiami stilistici come le luci frontali che ricordano la 499P e la "lama" posteriore ispirata alla concept Vision Gran Turismo. Come abbiamo detto meccanicamente adotta il motore da 3.9-litri V8 Twin-Turbo della vettura da corsa capace di sviluppare 600Hp e 700Nm di coppia massima.
