I filmed this Nissan R90C/7 group C, also known as R91CK, because it was modified with these specifications by Nova Engineering. You can see it in action during the last 2018/2019 edition of the races organised by Peter Auto. The car has a particular history; it's the Lola T90/10-07 chassis of an R90C model built-in 1990. This Nissan competed for two years in Japan. In 1991 with the crew A.Nakaya and Volkert Weidler the car came second in the 500km Fuji race. Still second, twice in the same year, at 1000Km in Fuji and 500Km in Sugo, also in Japan. In 1992 he raced the 24 Hours of Daytona with the crew Weidler, Mauro Martini and Jeff Krosnoff, finishing in eighth place. In 1991 it was modified by Nova Engineering transforming it into R91CK with a different aerodynamic package using the Yatabe wind tunnel (Japan Automobile Research Institute - JARI). In recent years it has been completely restored and in the yellow colour with number 27 takes part in the races dedicated to Group C cars organised by Peter Auto. Accurately, you see it in action at the Paul Ricard Dix Mille Tour, the Monza Historic and the Imola Classic piloted by the French crew Pierre-Alain France and Erwin France. The engine that moves the cars is the Nissan VRH35Z, a 3.5-litre 90 ° V8, twin-turbo that develops 800 hp (597 kW) at 7,600 rpm and 784 Nm 578 (ft-lbs) at 5,600 rpm. Other features are a Kevlar/carbon fibre chassis, 5-speed Hewland VGC manual transmission, ventilated carbon-ceramic discs, rear-wheel drive and a total weight of only 920 kg (2,028 lbs).
