One-Off 2018 Ferrari SP38 Deborah - 670Hp 3.9-Litre V8 Twin-Turbo Engine Sound - Goodwood FOS 2022

I was finally lucky enough to see the Ferrari SP38 Deborah, a one-off made in 2018 and presented that same year at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. It is a model commissioned by a wealthy and affectionate customer of the Maranello brand and built based on the 488 GTB. The whole bodywork has been modified, drawing inspiration from some iconic models of the horse, such as the 308 GTB in the front and some ways (rear engine hood and grille) from the F40. Overall it seems to be a very successful job. The colour has a paint of a particular shade of red that takes the name of Deborah. The mechanical basis is the tested one of the 488 GTB; we find the 3.9-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine capable of developing 670Hp combined with the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox in the central-rear position. In 2018 she was elected winner of the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. It is estimated that the price for this unique model can be between 2 and 4 million Euros. Ho finalmente avuto la fortuna di vedere la Ferrari SP38 Deborah, una one-off realizzata nel 2018 e che fu presentata quello stesso anno al Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Si tratta di un modello commissionato da un facoltoso ed affezzionato cliente del marchio di Maranello e realizzato sulla base della 488 GTB. Tutta la carrozzeria è stata modifica traendo ispirazione da alcuni modelli iconici del cavallino come la 308 GTB nella parte frontale e per certi versi (cofano posteriore del motore e griglia) dalla F40. Nel complesso mi sembra un lavoro molto ben riuscito. Il colore ha una verniciatura di una tonalità di rosso particolare che prende il nome di Deborah. La base meccanica è quella collaudata della 488 GTB e quindi troviamo in posizione centrale-posteriore il motore V8 Twin-Turbo da 3.9-Litri capace di sviluppare 670Hp abbinato al cambio doppia frizione a 7 marce. Nel 2018 è stata eletta vincitrice del Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes al Concorso d'eleganza Villa d'Este. Si stima che il prezzo per questo modello unico possa essere compreso fra i 2 ed i 4 milioni di Euro.
