After being shelled by the Detroit Red Wings in their last visit to the Forum, Patrick Roy made the statement heard 'round the hockey world when he informed Canadiens President Ronald Corey:

"This is my last game as a Montreal Canadien."

Roy was subsequently traded to the Colorado Avalanche on December 6th, ending the Roy era in Montreal
