Penske-Chevrolet PC-22 (1993) - CART/IndyCar V8 Turbocharged - 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed

This 1993 Penske-Chevrolet PC-22, which took part in the American series CART/IndyCar, took part at 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed driven by Jeremy Smith. The car made 16 races in that season with 8 wins, three with Emerson Fittipaldi and five with Paul Tracy. The most important affirmation of the PC-22 was the victory of the Indianapolis 500 in 1993 for Fittipaldi and the second place in the CART championship. The single seater, designed by Nigel Bennett, is powered by a 2.647 cc (161.5 cu-in) Chevrolet V8 Turbo engine and is still one of the fastest cars in the Goodwood Hillclimb, so much that finished second in 2017.

Questa Penske-Chevrolet PC-22 del 1993 che ha preso parte alla serie americana dedicata alle ruote scoperte CART/IndyCar ha preso parte all'edizione 2018 del Goodwood Festival of Speed pilotata da Jeremy Smith. La vettura ha corso in quella stagione 16 gare, conquistando 8 vittorie, tre con Emerson Fittipaldi e cinque con Paul Tracy. L'affermazione in gara più importante della PC-22 è stata la vittoria di Indianapolis 500 nel 1993 per Fittipaldi ed il secondo posto nel campionato CART. La macchina, progettata da Nigel Bennett è dotata di un motore V8 Chevrolet Turbo da 2.647 cc (161.5 cu-in) ed è tutt'ora una delle vetture più veloci nella salita di goodwood tanto da essersi piazzata al secondo posto nel 2017.
