Poland National Volleyball Team | Unbelievable Moments | VNL 2018

Poland have played an important role in the development of the sport since their appearance at the inaugural FIVB Men's World Championship in 1949. They won their first World Championship gold in 1974. Thirty years later, they captured their second gold medal when they hosted the 2014 World Championship, beating Brazil in the final in Katowice.
They dominated the international scene in the mid-1970s and have participated in the Olympic Games nine times, winning gold at the Montreal 1976 Games. Poland finished fifth at the Rio 2016 Games.
Poland made their twentieth straight appearance in the FIVB World League in 2017. They first took part in 1998 and won the bronze medal in 2011 before securing the gold in 2012, defeating the USA in straight sets in the final.
They competed in the Final Six tournaments of the 2015 and 2016 World League, finishing fourth in 2015 after losing to USA 3-0 in the bronze medal match, and fifth in 2016, when they hosted the finals in Krakow. However, they failed to advance to the Final Six in 2017, after finishing pool play with a 4-5 record, leaving the team in eighth place in Group 1.
