The 24/7 Championship had injected new life into the stale programming that WWE had been presenting to us on a weekly basis. The 5 hours of Raw and SmackDown every week can become a pain to watch, especially because most WWE storylines fail to impress the fanbase. When the 24/7 Championship was introduced, most people scoffed at it but were excited to see if the title will become a fixture of programming. The title instantly became a fan favourite, giving us a throwback to the chaotic hardcore championship days in the Attitude Era. R-Truth has always been one of the most charismatic wrestlers on the WWE roster and his reigns with the 24/7 Title allowed him to showcase that charisma on a weekly basis. However, just a few months into the title’s life cycle, it seems to be fading away from the limelight. Viewer fatigue and poor booking decisions have affected the belt’s popularity, and now it feels like we haven’t seen the title in a featured spot in over a month.
