Red Bull Soapbox Race, Roma Villa Borghese 2018 Highlights! Funny Actions, Jumps, people & More!

The Red Bull Soapbox Race that took place in Rome, at the beautiful Villa Borghese park, is back in Italy after 4 years and the previous race in Turin. I always followed these events with fun and it was time to finally see one live. The formula is simple. Cars moved only by human traction and therefore without a motor (but mandatory brakes) were taken down a ramp through a downhill path and full of obstacles recreated within the immense green area of ​the park. Parabolic curve and jump were the most characteristic points that have entertained about 50,000 spectators and in this last area, I positioned myself. 61 vehicles have started, almost all ending the race. I have to congratulate with alle the teams for making wacky cars and in some cases beautiful ones, like Altare Della Patria, the PianinFarina, the electric-shaped and many others. La Red Bull Soapbox Race che si è svolta a Roma, presso lo splendido parco di Villa Borghese è tornata in Italia dopo 4 anni di distanza e la precedente gara a Torino. Ho sempre seguito con divertimento queste manifestazioni ed era giunta l'ora di vederla finalmente dal vivo. La formula è semplice. Auto mosse solamente da trazione umana e quindi priva di motore (ma freni obbligatori) sono state fatte scendere da una rampa attraverso un percorso in discesa e ricco di ostacoli ricreato all'interno dell'immensa area verde del parco. Curva parabolica e salto sono stati i punti più caratteristici che hanno fatto divertire circa 50.000 spettatori e proprio in quest'ultima zona mi sono posizionato. 61 veicoli hanno preso il via, quasi tutti terminando la gara. Devo fare i complimenti ai team per aver realizzato vetture strampalate ed in alcuni casi bellissime. Mi vengono in mente l'altare della Patria, la PianinFarina, l'auto a forma di sega elettrica, a forma di trapano e tante altre ancora.
