Renault Sport R.S.01 Trophy by Equipe Verschuur, Nissan GT-R V6 Twin-Turbo Engine - 12H Mugello Race

I had the pleasure of filming another excellent and fast Renault Sport R.S. 01 Trophy brought to the track by the Dutch team of Equipe Verschuur for the 12H endurance race at Mugello. The R.S.01 officially entered production in 2014 to participate in the homonymous single-make championship and was subsequently built in a GT3 variant for endurance races. In the Trophy configuration, the 3.8-litre Twin-Turbo engine derived from the Nissan GT-R develops 560hp and 600Nm of torque. However, compared to the Japanese engine, we find a dry-sump lubrication system and a Pactel electronic control unit equipped with an anti-slip system. The gearbox is a 7-speed Sadev sequential. The body in composite material reinforced with carbon fibre is very beautiful. The suspensions with independent wheels, double-wishbone push-rod scheme, and Öhlins adjustable shock absorbers are lovely. The total weight is about 1.150Kg, and the performance is like a real racing car, from 0-100 Km/h in 2.5 seconds and over 300Km/h of maximum speed. Ho avuto il piacere di filmare un'altra splendida e veloce Renault Sport R.S.01 Trophy portata in pista dagli olandesi di Equipe Verschuur per la gara endurance 12H del Mugello. La R.S.01, entrata ufficialmente in produzione nel 2014 per prendere parte all'omonimo campionato monomarca è stata successivamente realizzata anche in variante GT3 per le gare endurance. Nella configurazione Trophy il motore da 3.8 Litri Twin-Turbo derivato da quello della Nissan GT-R sviluppa 560cv e 600Nm di coppia. Rispetto al propulsore Giapponese troviamo però un sistema di lubrificazione a carter secco ed una centralina elettronica Pactel fornita di un sistema anti-slittamento. Il cambio è un sequenziale Sadev a 7 rapporti. Molto bella la scocca in materiale composito rinforzata con fibra di carbonio e sofisticate le sospensioni con ruote indipendenti e schema push-rod a quadrilateri ed ammortizzatori Öhlins regolabili. Il peso complessivo è di circa 1.150Kg e le preformance sono da vera auto da corsa, da 0-100 Km/h in 2.5 secondi ed oltre 300Km/h di velocità massima.
