Scotland Head Coach, Gregor Townsend along with assistant coaches Steve Tandy and John Dalziel visited the Thiepval war memorial to pay respects to former international rugby players who lost their lives during the First World War.

The memorial commemorates 72,000 servicemen including Lieutenant Eric Milroy, who was the captain of Scotland before the beginning of the Great War. Milroy shares common ancestry with current Scotland International Ollie Smith, who's father was present during the visit.
