Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004C - 650Hp V8 N/A Engine SPX-Class Racing Car at Monza Circuit!

I had the pleasure of filming the Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004C Scuderia again in its final form at the Monza circuit. In 2020 I had witnessed the debut for the first tests and shakedowns at the San Martino del Lago track, near Cremona. As already happened for the previous model, the SCG 003C, also the newborn, was created in collaboration with Podium Advanced Technologies, which completely oversaw its development, construction and management in the race. The mechanical part was entrusted to Autotecnica Motori, which used the GM LT4 engine, a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 that currently develops around 650hp. The SCG 004C took part in the SPX class of the 2020 Nürburgring 24 Hours. Further development is expected to be homologated in the GT3 category and, if there is interest, also in the GTE and GT4 class. Some technical features see the full carbon fibre bodywork construction and a central driving position. Compared to the SCG 003C, it's 100kg lighter with 25% improved downforce at maximum speed.

Ho avuto il piace di filmare nuovamente la Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004C in veste definitiva sul circuito di Monza. Nel 2020 avevo assistito al debutto per i primi test e shakedown sulla pista di San Martino del Lago, vicino a Cremona. Come già avvenuto per il modello precedente, la SCG 003C, anche la nuova nata è stata realizzata in collaborazione con Podium Advanced Technologies che ne ha curato completamente lo sviluppo, la realizzazione e la gestione in gara. La parte meccanica è stata affidata ad Autotecnica Motori che ha impiegato come base di partenza il propulsore GM LT4, un V8 da 6.2 litri aspirato che attualmente sviluppa circa 650cv. La SCG 004C ha preso parte nella classe SPX della 24 Ore del Nürburgring 2020. E' previsto un'ulteriore sviluppo per essere omologata in categoria GT3 e se ci sarà interesse, anche in classe GTE e GT4. Alcune caratteristiche tecniche vedono la costruzione interamente in fibra di carbonio di scocca e carrozzeria ed una posizione di guida centrale. Rispetto alla SCG 003C è 100kg più leggera con un carico aerodinamico migliorato del 25% alla massima velocità.
