CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour - Donovaly
Match: Russia (Kuzmin, Smorchkov, Shapkin) vs Ukraine (Bokshan, Kuzmin, Skukis)
Date: 21 – 23 February 2020
Host City: Donovaly (SVK) Venue: Park Snow Donovaly (Ski resort)
Prize Money: 3.000 EUR per gender
Participating Teams: Main Draw: 16 teams for Men and 12 for Women.
The Slovakian ski resort of Donovaly played host to the third edition of the Slovakian Snow Volleyball national championships. This was for the very first time in their history. The 2018 and 2019 editions of the nationals took place in yet another popular ski resort, Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras.
This year organisers have prepared two courts, which they used for their national competition as well.
Together with home teams from Slovakia, players from Romania, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland and Poland participated in the competition.
The FIVB is developing snow volleyball by teaming up with existing sports events to build awareness of the discipline and create a global movement, built on what has been put in place already on the European Tour.
Snow volleyball demonstrates the fun, passion and universality of the sport of volleyball, which is now accessible all year round, from the summer to the winter, from the beach to the mountains, indoor and outdoor. Volleyball any time, any place, anywhere.
