The Alfa Romeo 155 GTA Superturismo is a real jewel, 400hp 2.0 litre 4-cylinder turbo engine and 4-wheel drive. The one you see in action belongs to Roberto di Giuseppe and took part in the Drive Experience event organised by Davide Cironi at the Modena circuit in 2019. What makes this Alfa so special? Well, let's say straight away that it's a crazy and expensive project, the car was prepared to compete in a single year, the 1992 championship, because from the next one the regulation would no longer permit the use of supercharged engines. However, the 155 GTA achieved its goal of bringing the Alfa-Romeo back to the top, winning the championship with Nicola Larini and conquering 17 victories out of 20 races. The incredible thing is that the second, third and fourth places were all taken by the Italian brand that defeated the BMW M3 Sport Evolution finished in fifth and sixth position.

L'Alfa Romeo 155 GTA Superturismo è un vero gioiello, motore 2.0 litri 4 cilindri turbo da 400cv e trazione integrale. Quella che vedete in azione appartiene a Roberto di Giuseppe ed ha preso parte al Drive Experience organizzato da Davide Cironi All'autodromo di Modena nel 2019. Cosa le rende così speciale? Beh, diciamo subito che è un progetto pazzesco e costoso, visto che la vettura venna approntata per gareggiare un solo anno, campionato 1992, perchè da quello successivo il regolamento non avrebbe più permesso di impiegare motori sovralimentati. Però la 155 GTA centrò l'obiettivo di riportare l'Alfa-Romeo al vertice, vincendo il campionato con Nicola Larini ed aggiudicandosi 17 vittorie su 20 gare disputate. La cosa incredibile è che il secondo, terzo e quarto posto furono tutti presi dal marchio Italiano che sconfisse le BMW M3 Sport Evolution finite in quinta e sesta posizione.
