On today’s Transfer Talk we round up some of the biggest stories from deadline day, discussing some of the biggest deals and most disappointing failures in the transfer market. Arsenal’s failure to sign a striker and free transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona has left the Gunners short in attack as they pursue Champions League qualification, while West Ham’s failure to land Darwin Nuñez, Duvan Zapata or Raphinha has made David Moyes’ task much harder in the second half of the campaign.
Everton were the busiest club on deadline day, with Frank Lampard, Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli all coming through the door, with the new manager particularly keen to sign the Tottenham midfielder. Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembélé stayed at Barcelona after being given an ultimatum to leave before the end of the window. But why didn’t he end up at PSG? And were Chelsea interested too?
Let us know in the comments which club you think WON the window and WHY!
