Tractor Pulling L'Aspirateur - 3x Isotov/Klimov TV2 Helicopters Turbine Powered Monster!

Aspirateur is the vehicle that the Racing Team Obruly uses in the European Tractor Pulling races. Built-in 2007 by the Dutch No Limit team that used it to run in the maximum category of modified vehicles, it was then sold to the Austrian crew headed by Manfred Obruley. If you search on Youtube, you will find some videos in which the tractor was coloured yellow. With the new owner, the livery has also changed, now in white. The peculiarity of this tractor is the use of three Russian Isotov/Klimov TV2-117 turbines powered by Kerosene, usually used in helicopters. This type of engine, which entered the market in the 1960s and produced until the end of the 1990s in 23,000 units is probably the most popular helicopter unit in the world. Each dry turbine weighs about 330kg and develops the power of 1,500hp (1,100Kw). The Aspirateur, therefore, generates a total power of 4,500hp, and its total weight is 3,5t. An interesting thing is fuel the consumption, for each sledge pull 40 litres of kerosene are necessary. I was lucky enough to see this vehicle in action on at least three different occasions, during the stages of the Italian tractor pulling championship. In 2016 I was able to film it in Austria, at Klopeiner See, where some beautiful races were held some years ago. On that occasion, as you can see from the video, the Obruly team used the Aspirateur in the 3.5t and 4.5t categories. In both races, the tractor finished in second place, behind the powerful FourNoHemi vehicle of the Italian Rocco Power Team. This last tractor has approximately twice the power.

Costruito nel 2007 dal team Olandese No Limit che lo ha utilizzato per correre nella categoria massima dei mezzi modificati è stato poi venduto al team Austriaco che fa capo a Manfred Obruley. Se cercate su Youtube troverete qualche filmato in cui il veicolo era colorato di giallo. Con il nuovo proprietario anche la livrea è cambiata, ora è bianca. La particolarità di questo trattore è l'ultilizzo di tre turbine russe Isotov/Klimov TV2-117 alimentate a Kerosene che solitamente vengono impiegate negli elicotteri. Questi propulsori, entrati in commercio negli anni '60, con le dovute modifiche, sono stati prodotti fino alla fine degli anni '90 in 23.000 esemplari. Questo modello è probabilmente l'unità più diffusa al mondo con impiego per elicotteri. Ogni turbina, a secco, pesa circa 330kg e sviluppa la potenza di 1.500cv (1.100Kw). L'Aspirateur genera quindi una potenza totale di 4.500cv ed il suo peso complessivo è 3,5t. Una cosa interessante riguarda il consumo, per ogni tirata della slitta vengono impiegati 40 litri di kerosene. Ho avuto la fortuna di vedere questo veicolo in azione almeno in tre occasioni diverse, durante le tappe del campionato italiano di tractor pulling. Nel 2016 ho potuto filmarlo in Austria, nella località del Klopeiner See dove alcuni anni addietro si svolgevano bellissime gare. In quell'occasione, come potete vedere dal filmato, il team Obruly utilizzò l'Aspirateur nella categoria 3,5t e 4,5t. In entrambe le gare si piazzò al secondo poto, dietro al potente veicolo FourNoHemi del team Italiano Rocco Power Team. Quest'ultimo trattore possiede circa il doppio della potenza.
