Coach Kehoe will be breaking down the basics of Body Contact. While understanding that the goal
of body contact in ALL hockey, is to regain possession of the puck, she will dive into when to start implementing body contact drills....how to teach the basics, and why body contact isn’t so different for boys and girls. Coach Kehoe will also provide some drills and tips to help teach and implement body contact in your practices.
Kristi is currently the assistant coach for Lindenwood women’s hockey and Director of Girls Player Development for the New England District. She was the Head Coach of the Kunlun Red Star Women’s Junior Hockey team and assistant coach for Team China U18 National Team. She helped the Chinese U18 National Team to its best finish at the World Championships in five years. Kehoe helped the Chinese U18 National Team to its best finish at the World Championships in five years. Kehoe had a four-year run as the head coach of the New England College women’s hockey program. Prior to joining the NEC staff, Kehoe was an assistant coach at The State University of New York Cortland. During her playing career at Northeastern, she scored 45 goals and dished out 43 assists at her time there.
