This is video 2 of our 2 part series where Coach Reid Hall (@reidsworkouts) gives you a complete inside look at two professional volleyball players workout.

In this video we cover the strength/power training portion of the workout. Sophie is in her 10th week of training and has added over 3.5 inches on her counter movement jump and over 3 inches on her spike touch. I have been getting a lot of questions from coaches and athletes on how she made these improvements.

The answer is …. it is a process, and that same process may not allow you or your athletes to receive the same results. Each athlete is different and often at stages in their training. As a coach we need to take a deep analysis of the athlete and individualize the training as much as possible.

In this video I give you two athletes that on paper seem very similar. They are both tall female athletes that played beach at USC and are now professional beach volleyball players. BUT the training they do is completely different. I want you to see this contrast in the video and I think it will help you gain a better understanding of the process.
