The Volvo 850 Estate ex Rickard Rydell & the Alfa Romeo 155 TS D2 ex Antonio Tamburini, legendary cars of the 90s in the BTCC and the Superturismo took part in the 2018 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). In 1994 the Swedish factory surprised everyone by deploying a station wagon (estate) racing car created in collaboration with the TWR. The 2.0-litre 5-cylinder engine develops 280hp. Brought to the race by drivers Jan Lammers and Rickard Rydell, Volvo finished the constructors' championship in 6th place. From the following year, the sedan version will be used. The Alfa-Romeo 155 D2 Ts Silverstone, on the other hand, immediately proved to be competitive thanks to excellent aerodynamics. On its debut in 1994 with eight victories, won the BTCC championship driven by Gabriele Tarquini and always the same year, in Italy, with Antonio Tamburini behind the steering wheel in Superturismo championship reaches the 2nd overall place. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine develops approximately 285hp at 8,400 rpm.
