Vortex 1.0 V8 GTX Class - 560Hp 6.2-Litre Chevrolet N/A Engine - Sound & Race at 12H Mugello

I enjoyed filming two Vortex 1.0 V8 cars competing in the GTX class during the 2021 edition of the 12H Mugello race. Built by the French company Vortex SAS in an artisanal way, it's equipped with a very light fibreglass body, tubular frame and double triangle suspension; the rears are push-rod type. Finally, we find shock absorbers adjustable in three positions. The engine is a tested 6.2-Liter naturally aspirated Chevrolet LS3 V8 capable of developing 560Hp moved by a 6-speed Sadev sequential gearbox. With only 1,050 Kg, this is equivalent to a favourable weight/power ratio of 1.8 Kg/Hp. The two cars participate in the races of the Endurance championship called 24H Series organized by Creventic.

Ho avuto il piacere di filmare due vetture Vortex 1.0 V8 che competono nella classe GTX durante l'edizione 2021 della 12H del Mugello. Costruita dall'azienda francese Vortex SAS in modo artigianale è dotata di una carrozzeria molto leggera in vetroresina, telaio tubolare e sospensioni a doppio triangolo, le posteriori sono di tipo push-rod. Troviamo infine ammortizzatori regolabili in tre posizioni. Il propulsore è un collautato Chevrolet LS3 V8 da 6.2-Litri aspirato capace di sviluppare 560Hp mosso da un cambio sequenziale Sadev a 6 rapporti. Con un peso di soli 1.050 Kg questo equivale ad un favorevole rapporto peso/potenza di 1.8 Kg/Hp. Le due vetture partecipano alle gare del campionato Endurance chiamato 24H Series organizzato da Creventic.
