Renault heads to Istanbul in high spirits, the French marque up to third in the constructors’ standings for the first time this season, following Daniel Ricciardo’s Imola podium - his second in three races.

But, while the Honey Badger is off to rival McLaren from 2021, the squad - to be rebranded Alpine - won’t be left in the lurch, with two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso set to partner Esteban Ocon. Beyond that line-up though Renault is flush with talent, its Academy’s top-three stars, along with Alonso - in Bahrain last week for a four-day test in its 2018 car, the RS18.
