WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo 2020, 4x Comparison: Ogier vs Evans vs Rovanperä vs Katsuta, Toyota Yaris WRC

Finally, the WRC 2020 started with the Monte-Carlo Rallye, we are close to Gap, in the French Alps and this is the 4x Comparative Video (virtual as a spectator) between Sébastien Ogier Vs Elfyn Evans vs Kalle Rovanperä Vs Takamoto Katsuta. All four are the pilots of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team who drive the Yaris WRC this year in the rally world championship. I've filmed during the special stages 4/7 St-Clement-Sur Durance/Freissinieres,10/12 La Breole/Selonnet & Shakedown with the highlights of the best passages, only Action, Flatout, Max Attack & Pure Sound! Evans, in his debut on the Toyota Yaris WRC, immediately proved to be very strong and extremely competitive. He maintained the Rallye leadership for most of the special stages, but in the end, he had to surrender, overtaken by Neuville and his teammate Ogier. His total detachment from the first place was 14.7 seconds. Very little detachment from Ogier, only 1.7 seconds! Ogier, for his part, hit practically the same time as Neuville in the Power Stage, detached by only 0.016s, crazy! From what I have seen, Toyota has a solid team; it will be a good battle against Hyundai in this 2020 world championship. The young Kalle Rovanperä, 20 years old, son of the ex-driver Harri Rovanperä makes his debut aboard the Toyota Yaris WRC in a solid team that sees the presence of two top drivers like Ogier and Evans. He finished the Monte-Carlo Rallye in the fifth position with a +4:17.2 gap from the winner Neuville. Keep an eye on his season; this guy is a young rally promise. Another debut at Toyota is that of the Japanese Takamoto Katsuta who from test driver has been promoted to official driver in some races of this WRC season. He raced from 2016 to 2019 in Tommi Mäkinen Racing with the Fiesta R5. In this stage of the world rally, assisted by the British navigator Barritt Daniel, he finished in seventh place with a gap of +11: 27.9 from the leaders Neuville.

Tutti e quattro sono i piloti del team Toyota Gazoo Racing che quest'anno guidano la Yaris WRC nel campionato del mondo rally. I filmati si riferiscono alle prove speciali 4/7 St-Clement-Sur-Durance/Freissinieres,10/12 La Breole/Selonnet e lo Shakedown con gli highlights dei passaggi migliori, solo azione, Flatout, Max Attack & Pure Sound! Evans, al suo debutto sulla Toyota Yaris WRC, così come Ogier, si è subito dimostrato molto veloce ed estremamente competitivo. A livello di tempi ha mantenuto la leadership del Rallye per la maggior parte delle tappe speciali, ma alla fine ha dovuto arrendersi, superato da uno strepitoso Neuville che ha compiuto una vera e propria rimonta e dal suo compagno di squadra Ogier. Il suo distacco totale dal primo posto è stato di 14,7 secondi. Pochissimo invece quello da Ogier, solo 1,7 secondi! Ogier, dal canto suo ha centrato praticamente il medesimo tempo di Neuville nella Power Stage, distaccato di soli 0.016s, pazzesco! Il giovane Kalle Rovanperä, 20 anni, figlio dell'ex pilota Harri Rovanperä debutta a bordo della Toyota Yaris WRC in una squadra fortissima che vede la presenza di due piloti di punta come Ogier ed Evans. Ha chiuso il Rallye di Monte-Carlo in quinta posizione con un distacco di +4:17.2 dal vincitore Neuville. Giovane talento del rally, sarà das tenere d'occhio la sua stagione in questo 2020. Altro debutto in casa Toyota è quello del giapponese Takamoto Katsuta che da collaudatore è stato promosso a pilota ufficiale in alcune gare di questa stagione WRC. Ha corso dal 2016 al 2019 nel Tommi Mäkinen Racing con la Fiesta R5. In questa tappa del mondiale rally, assistito dal navigatore britannico Barritt Daniel si è piazzato al settimo posto con un distacco di +11:27.9 dal capolista Neuville. Da quello che ho potuto vedere la Toyota ha una squadra fortissima, sarà una bella battaglia contro la Hyundai in questo mondiale 2020. Buona visione e godetevi il confronto fra i due piloti di punta della casa giapponese. Spero apprezziate anche lo Split-Screen.
