Robin McDonald, a veteran of 10 IIHF Women’s World Championships and four Olympic Winter Games, and Sam Asaro, at his first women’s worlds, handle equipment manager duties for Canada’s National Women’s Team in Kamloops, making sure the players can focus solely on hockey. They handle duties including skate sharpening, laundry, equipment repairs, and anything dressing-room related, and are at the rink hours before the team arrives, and hours after it leaves, allowing the players to keep to their routine.
