A pioneer in the collegiate world as strength and conditioning coordinator at McMaster University, the St-Hilaire, Que., native started with Hockey Canada in 2005. His primary role then was with Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team, including a gold medal at the 2010 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship. Although Kamloops is Lidstone’s first IIHF Women’s World Championship, he’s no stranger to the players, having helped guide them through the Team Canada program.
